International Student Scholarships

Scholarships for F-1 International Students

Entering 2024-2025 Academic Year

International students applying to enter New College on an F-1 student visa may be eligible for scholarship funding. All scholarships are subject to availability of funding and to renewal criteria.

$15,000 per year

Merit based award for F-1 International students entering New College as first-time college students. Available to all eligible enrolled students.

$15,000 per year

Merit based award for F-1 International students entering New College as transfer students. Available to all eligible enrolled students.

$2,500 – $10,000 per year

The Presidential Honors Scholarship is a merit-based award.

$2,000

This one-time scholarship will fund an internship experience with an organization or community partner.

Latin American/Caribbean Scholarship

Scholarship Value: over $20,000 per year (over $80,000 over four years).

LAC Scholarship recipients are assigned Florida resident tuition rates, which can reduce tuition costs by over $20,000 per year.  Recipients also receive a yearly LAC Award between $1,000-$5,000 per year, based on merit.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • You are one of the following:
    • U.S. Citizen and resident of Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands;
    • Citizen and resident of one of the Latin American/Caribbean countries on the list below, and seeking to study on an eligible visa; or
    • U.S. Permanent Resident Alien residing in Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands
  • All of your required admission materials are on file by the posted deadline
  • You have been admitted to a degree-seeking undergraduate program that is on-campus and not online
  • You submit your $200 enrollment deposit by the posted deadline.

Deadlines:

To allow for possible delays in mail and processing, please do your best to complete your admission application file by these dates:

  • Fall Entry Term (Freshman and Transfer Admission)
    • All application materials due for admission and scholarship eligibility: April 1st
    • Deadline to accept admission offer: May 1st

All required application materials (including any required transcript evaluations and translations, official transcripts, exam scores, and the recommendation) must be received by the Office of Admissions and Financial Aid on or before the deadline.

Mail postmarked by the appropriate date will meet the deadline so long as the mail is received by 5 p.m. the following business day.
